It often doesn’t take much to convince someone about the benefits and joys of taking a bath, but in case you’re not convinced, maybe this will help.

No. 1 – Sleep

Allowing a full body exposure to a concentrated solution of magnesium chloride is a lovely gentle and effective method of supplementation of this marvellous mineral.
How to Use:
Add 250g Magnesium Flakes (roughly 2 cups) per bath. Lie back and relax for about 20 minutes or so. Feel free to add some pain-easing, calming essential oils like:
Peppermint| eucalyptus| rosemary| sage| Roman chamomile| lavender| ginger| frankincense| clary sage | lemongrass oil. Remember, a little goes a long way so only a couple of drops are necessary.
Add 150g Magnesium Flakes (roughly 1 cup) to approx. 5 litres of water, enough to cover your feet. Sit and relax for 20 minutes.
The Magnesium Tingle
When you initially use magnesium, you may experience a slight tingling sensation. This may indicate low magnesium levels and is the result of the high-speed absorption of magnesium through the pores. Don’t worry – this will pass with regular use.

For foot baths, add 1-2 caps of Sage Bath to comfortably hot (about 40°C) water. Ideally, soak feet twice a week for 10 to 15 minutes each time.
These bath salts are the absolute saviour for tired, aching, overworked muscles. These 100% natural Magnesium-rich Epsom Salts are infused with Eucalyptus essential oil, White Willow and Arnica to revive the body and assist in muscle relaxation and recovery.

How to Use:
Immerse the seaweed (which is in a netted bag) for about 20 minutes in a container of very hot water. This allows the seaweed to hydrate completely and release its natural oils. Then, fill your bathtub with water (at whatever temperature you require) and add the contents of the container to your bathwater.
Gently squeeze the seaweed bag for maximum oil release, but do be careful. The centre of the seaweed may be quite hot still.
Feel free to use the seaweed net as a loofa to gently exfoliate your skin and enhance circulation a bit. And don’t worry if you notice an amber colour coming out. It’s natural and comes from the iodine content. It won’t stain your skin or your bath.
Once you’re finished bathing, don’t forget to keep your seaweed net safe. You may re-use the seaweed within 48 hours for a second bath.
Unlike with the bath salts and milks, I wouldn’t recommend adding any additions to your seaweed bath. Using your normal bath products such as body washes, shower gels or bubble bath could make the natural oils in the seaweed less effective.
A little word of warning. Yes. It is fairly smelly. Don’t expect a romantically fragrant bathroom experience. Be prepared for a more fishy seaweed smell. Or perhaps we could go as far as saying a smell that brings long walks on the beach and holiday smells to your bathroom.
No. 4 – Energy
Although not the first thing people think when they conjure up bath images, you can also bath to boost your energy.
