A healthy diet that consists of proteins like legumes, nuts, seeds, tofu and fish is one place to start. Antioxidant rich foods, think fruits and veggies, are brilliant for assistance. For exam season, regular meals, reduced caffeine and less processed foods can support a consistent energy level to get you through.

Regular exercise would be a real benefit for managing stress at this time as well as assisting with memory and focus. Ensuring a good nights sleep and routine could also be beneficial. 

Key support

The key support here is Essential Fatty Acids which can offer support for memory, key for exams, as EFA’s are critical for brain health. They might also be beneficial for focus as well during difficult times.

They must be ingested through your diet or by using supplements as the body cannot produce these on its own. Some foods high in EFA’s include nuts and seeds, fish, avocados and some greens like spinach and kale.

More supports to add to the EFA’s would be a b-complex and rhodiola.

B-vitamins work together to ensure the brain is working efficiently to support focus. There are different types of b vitamins and all play a different role within brain health. B12 may be beneficial for focus as it promotes the development of red blood cells to carry oxygen to the brain. This, as well as vitamins b6 and b9 assist with dopamine and serotonin. If these chemicals are lacking then fatigue, stress and difficulty concentrating may be more prominent.

A B-complex providing all the essential b-vitamins could be a good support for focus.
