Where does the Nunaïa journey start?

This gorgeous natural organic skincare brand was started by Nicola Connolly.

Over a decade ago, Nicola was working in a fast-paced, high-pressure corporate environment. Like so many of us, she found the stress was affecting her badly and her overall happiness.

“It was affecting my health and relationships, I felt stressed and more and more unhappy.”

It was during this time that she made a life-changing decision to step away, one that eventually led her to live and work with traditional communities in South America, including the Galápagos Islands, the Amazon Rainforest, and the Andes Mountains of Peru.

While supporting these communities in building sustainable businesses that preserved their cultural heritage, Nicola was deeply inspired by their way of life. She saw firsthand their incredible knowledge of native plants and how they used them to care for their skin and wellbeing, often in extreme climates, from the intense sun and dry air of the Andes to the humid, aggressive environment of the rainforest.

What stood out even more was their approach to daily living: slower-paced, deeply connected to nature and each other, with a strong emphasis on ritual and intention. Whether it was preparing herbal remedies or celebrating the seasons, everything was rooted in mindfulness and balance.

Nicola began applying this ancestral wisdom to her own life and saw powerful changes – her skin improved, her stress reduced, and she started reconnecting with herself and her sense of purpose. That journey led her to found Nunaïa (pronounced “noo-nigh-ya”), a Certified Organic skincare brand designed to nourish not just the skin, but also to support wellbeing and connection.

What’s in this skincare?

Each Nunaïa product is crafted using potent, plant-based ingredients sustainably sourced from the Peruvian Andes and Amazon Rainforest, and blended with care in Co. Tipperary in Ireland. The brand is built around the idea of ritual skincare, encouraging people to slow down and create small daily moments of calm and self-care. This is why each product comes in packaging designed to give you a ritual that you can use to slow down after the day. The packaging is also so beautiful that you can reuse.

Earth Blossom Moisturising Cream

A hydrating, antioxidant rich face cream to help deeply moisturise and enhance elasticity, tone and texture for beautifully hydrated, visibly restored skin. Contains bio-retinol known to visibly reduce fine lines and pre and post biotics to restore skin barrier health.

A silky, lightweight texture that is effective not aggressive and deeply moisturises and targets signs of skin ageing.

Night-time: After cleansing and toning skin at night, apply 3-4 drops of Nourishing Radiance Serum to fingertips and follow the Nunaïa Ritual® steps to activate your serum and enhance your results.
